Description

This enclosure is designed to automatically open and release the EPIRB once a defined depth of submersion is reached.

It is the Hydrostatic Release Unit (HRU) that senses the pressure and causes the release.

The HRU is a replaceable item and has a limited rated service life of no greater than 2 years, commencing from the date of shipboard installation.

To carry out this service you must have a Float Free Housing Refurbishment Kit MT401FFSVC.
